Fun Facts
I am very passionate about books. Whenever I have a chance I read mostly fiction books. It is an ideal way to escape to my imaginary world for a little while. I am also into movies. The latter together with books completely occupy my free time. I also play guitar, although, I am not very good at it, I continue practicing.
About Me
I did my bachelor's in Business and Economics at Erasmus University Rotterdam in the Netherlands. Then, I moved to New York a year ago and did my master's (graduated in May) in Marketing Science at Columbia Business School with a GPA of 9.1 out of 10. In the long run, my goal is to be a Data Scientist.
Experience
During the third year of my bachelor's at Erasmus University I had an opportunity to teach Mathematics and ICT to the first year students. My main responsibilities were to teach students how to use Microsoft Excel, Blockly, SQL to run statistical analysis, come up with algorithms to solve problems and create games. Also facilitated active discussion of topics and led review sessions for students who needed additional support. It will be a fantastic opportunity to be a part of Frog Tutoring.
Approach
I enjoyed being a tutor very much. I discovered that being a tutor does not only mean to teach but also to learn from students. I tried to use this tactic during my tutorials and make the sessions as interactive and as two directional as possible. Moreover, I constantly asked the students for feedback and modified the subsequent sessions accordingly.
