Hello, friends, I love to travel. In 2017, I took a cruise on the Mediterranean. In 2018, I spent one month in Hungary, just outside of Budapest. Fun stuff!

About Me

I am a retired business professional with a BA in English & Education from the University of Wisconsin Parkside, in Kenosha. I am half British & half Russian. My mother was from England and my Dad's parents were from Russia. My maiden name is Goldman.

I have 2 children and one grandchild, with another grandchild due in April 2020. I'm so excited!

Experience

In the middle of my business career, I went back to school to earn my teaching degree. I attended school at the University of Wisconsin Parkside, in Kenosha. I love working with students of all ages and all needs. Some of my students are from other countries, usually living in the United States. They are afraid to speak English to an American until their English is perfect. I tell my students that there is no such thing as perfect English.

Approach

I teach my students the way I learned years ago. This is a student-centered approach. I do not progress to the next lesson until I know the student understands the current lesson. I follow Bloom's Taxonomy of Learning Levels.
