About Me
I am a Ph.D. student in Chemistry with a concentration in Nutrition and work in a laboratory setting as a Graduate Research Assistant. I have an in-depth understanding of biochemistry and metabolism (biochemistry is integral to nutrition). I have a B.S. and M.S. in Nutrition. As of writing, I have published 2 clinical studies in peer-reviewed scientific journals and have presented at the American Heart Association annual conference.
Experience
I have tutored 1 on 1 with undergrads and Masters students at Georgia State University in topics related to biochemistry. I also am a teaching assistant for several college courses. Frog Tutoring gives me the opportunity to impact even more lives of students that need help!
Approach
Despite my scientific background, explaining things simply and in an easy to understand manner is what I strive for. Having had an immense amount of materials to study over my many years of schooling, I have developed great visual strategies to help integrate an understanding and appreciation of the material beyond memorization. These strategies can be used for future courses by the student.

Having received A's in graduate-level Biochemistry I & II, I have a deep understanding of the subject. The principles of biochemistry are applied on a daily basis in my nutrition laboratory.
Nutrition Tutoring
I have a B.S. in nutrition and a Masters degree in nutrition. I also have published 2 clinical investigations regarding the role of diet in chronic disease prevention and my current Ph.D. work is integral to nutrition science. My Master's degree constituted exclusively nutrition courses and I had a 4.0 by the time I received my degree.
Writing Tutoring
As a scientist, coherent, logical and well-written work is critical. In addition to reading countless scientific studies and having written studies myself, I also have received a 5.0 score on the writing portion of the GRE (92nd percentile of all students). I have a keen eye for what constitutes good writing.
Anatomy Physiology I Tutoring
I have received an A in college-level anatomy and physiology. My expertise resides in nutrition science which requires the understanding of all biological processes.
Biology Tutoring
My laboratory work entails working with endothelial cells, macrophages, adipocytes and osteoclasts. I have a very good understanding of biology as it relates to cells and biological concepts related to organisms as well. In addition, I have an excellent understanding of cellular metabolism, an often difficult topic in high-school biology.
Science Tutoring
Being a scientist myself, I have always loved and enjoyed science throughout my education. I have an excellent understanding of all topics related to high-school science.
Microsoft Excel Tutoring
I personally enjoy working with computers a lot. I am familiar with all shortcuts and methods for proficient use of excel.
Microsoft PowerPoint Tutoring
One of my specialties is making excellent presentations that wow the audience yet remain professional (or comedic if that's your angle). I have presented at various educational seminars and am able to keep lay-audience engaged by breaking down complex scientific subjects into easy to understand presentations.

Microsoft Word is the mainstay of all writing. I have used Microsoft Word extensively and have utilized many functions of Word.
