Fun Facts

I am a classical cellist and have been playing for 21 years! I also love playing soccer and I coach Emory's Mens Club Soccer Team. Everyday life for me involves cooking for friends and hanging out with my dog and my fiance.

About Me

I received my bachelors at Florida State University in biology and recently earned a master's in public health-epidemiology from Emory University. I have 2 and a half years experience as a medical scribe in an emergency department and an adult congenital cardiology clinic. I am currently in the process of applying to medical school.

Experience

I had the opportunity to mentor high school students on health related topics as a part of the health careers academy. I also recently took the MCAT and scored in the 96th percentile for the Biology subsection and 82% overall. I have a bachelors degree in biology, minor in chemistry and a master's in epidemiology which is statistics heavy. I have also been a classical cellist for almost 21 years and have played in the World Youth Symphony Orchestra and was a competition cellist in high school.

Approach

The approach I bring to academics is a highly organized and systematic. There are many stressors in a students life and I believe creating a systematic approach to studying can help reduce the academic stressors. I like using technology such as online calendars and free study planning apps to plan out my semester. These tools are examples of how to create a systematic study plan that helps a student create structure to their academic life. This proved to be successful when I studied for the MCAT
