What people are always shock to learn about me is my love for Hip Hop History. I know that folks are just interested in the music nowadays but i find the history of Hip Hop very cool along with all the aspects of it. I also love anything and everything to do with myths and legends, and superheros. I know its an interesting mix but that's me.

About Me

I am a senior Sociology major at the miami">University of Miami. I plan to attend nursing school and pursue a career as a school nurse. I want to ensure the health of our future. My ultimate goal is to earn my masters in Public Health and ensure the health of all children nationwide and their safety.

I am currently a miami">tutor for the Light House Foundation. I miami">tutor a group of boys every other Saturday on FCAT prep. I was also a teacher intern with Breakthrough Miami in the Summer of 2012. But my most memorable experience is a miami">tutor with EmpowerASudent. At that time I tutored an 8 year old girl who was a Haitian refugee. I helped her increase her reading and math skills from a 2 st grade level to a 3nd grade level.

Since childhood I always loved math. I noticed that I was very strange because most children didn't, but I knew the reason was because my father would help me with my math homework and he really showed an interest and cared about my success. I believe that children only need someone to show that they have an interest in their future, someone who believe in them, and who help them achieve their goals. This is my approach, I am that person to each and every one of my students.
