Fun Facts

I think the one thing that stands out about me as a whole is how caring I am. I really enjoy helping and connecting with others. I am a very outgoing person and I love being around other people like myself or who may not be so much like me and wish to help them come out of their shell. I love to read and write but writing holds an extra special place in my heart! I use it as a therapeutic way to express myself and ease my mind.

About Me

I am a sophomore Sociology major at connecticut-state-university">Southern Connecticut State University, and recently a transfer student from monroe">monroe-college">monroe">Monroe College in New York! Being here has provided me with so many great opportunities as well as a brand new atmosphere that I plan on taking advantage of over the years. I would like to obtain my Bachelors, then Masters in Sociology with my focus being criminal justice. My ultimate goal is to become a qualified Social Work profession in my desired field.

Experience

In Summer of 2017, I had the opportunity to work for the Xposure Schools program of White Plains, New York. I tutored students in English and science around the ages of primary to middle school students. Coming back home this summer I searched for another chance to work in a classroom setting hands on again with children and could not find any openings. Frog connecticut/new-haven">Tutoring will provide me with the chance to do two things I really enjoy, working with kids, and helping people!

Approach

Over the years I never had anyone take the time out with me to help with my homework, or connecticut/new-haven">tutor me in subjects I really struggled with. Although my teachers office hours were helpful, that short time just wasn't enough for me. I told myself I would study and work extra hard to get through my classes and I did. I want to be that extra help and support for someone who like me, may not have anyone dedicated to making sure they succeed academically.
