Fun Facts

I've been to Mexico twice and Kenya three times. I love learning languages and have taken both Spanish and Swahili.
I have two brothers who are both still in school. One is getting his PhD in Biology at Kansas State University and the other is starting his senior year at Yale University.
For fun, I love to read. I just started rereading the Harry Potter series and am LOVING it.

About Me

I am a college persistence adviser with KIPP Through College. My job is to make sure the students who graduate from our high school have the resources they need to graduate from college.

Experience

I have experience atlanta">tutoring children from 3rd to 12th grades. I used to work in a group home and tutored the kids daily and assisted with all homework assignments. I also used to atlanta">tutor the UGA Football players for the UGA Division of Academic Enhancement.

Approach

I believe all students have the ability to learn, but sometimes their needs are not being met. Some kids need encouragement and just need the confidence in their academic skills to be successful. Some kids just don't understand and need someone to explain concepts differently. I strive to bring a patient, empathetic view to education and I would love to help your child succeed.
