Fun Facts
I love eating and travelling. I have been to many countries in the world but unfortunately I only speak two more languages other than English. I love making things from scratch and thus why I am in engineering. I would love to become a Professor in Biomedical Engineering one day.
About Me
I recently graduated from the City College of New York. I majored in Biomedical Engineering and did a minor in Mathematics. My future goals include pursuing a PhD and eventually becoming an awesome professor at an university in NYC. My GPA was 3.68 at the time time of my graduation. I have actively participated in several of my campus activities include leading the Engineering Honors Society to organizing mentor ship programs for high school students interested in STEM fields.
I have had four years of experience queens">tutoring students. I have worked at the Accessibility Center and the SEEK program at the City College of New York. I specialized in Math and Science (Biology, Chemistry and Physics) subjects. I also assisted students with freshman engineering courses. In the accessibility center, I worked with students who suffered from learning disabilities such as ADHD. I also worked for a semester with Champions Learning Center where I helped high school students with SATs.
When I sit down with a student for the first time at a queens">tutoring session, I try understanding where the student thinks he or she lacks understanding. I then proceed with the materials and gauge the students ability to grasp concepts. For example, I show a problem and I ask the student to solve another similar problem. I then re-phrase the problem so that the question asks for almost the same thing but in a different way. If the student understands, then I know that the student has understood thoroughly. if not, I spend more time trying to explain the various approaches that the question may have.
