Fun Facts

Everyone knows I LOVE animals. Especially cats, as I have 5 of them, yes, FIVE! I also love reading comic books! I collect Wonder Woman, Batgirl, and CatwomanI also love reading 18th-19th century literature like Austen, the Bronte sisters, and Eyre. My favorite season is Winter, for I love Christmas time.

About Me

I have a BA in English-Literature and am currently working on my MA in Elementary Education at houston">the houston">University of Houston (main campus). I love working with kids (all ages) but specially the younger ones. I am the first one in my family to have graduated college and attend graduate school. I hope to be a first grade teacher and eventually, perhaps, a reading specialist.

I am currently fulfilling my student teaching in FBISD. I am expected to graduate in the spring 2015.

Unfortunately, I have not had the chance to officially houston">tutor anyone. I have had instances where kids ask for my help, but never a constant student to help. I hope to gain experience with Frog houston">Tutoring and fully dip my hands in the houston">tutoring world.

Growing up in a Spanish-speaking home, I struggled with reading and writing, but I had awesome teachers that never gave up on me. Student teaching has definitely helped me assess students efficiently and have a better grasp for the learning setting.
