Fun Facts
One passion of mine is that I love tennis. The analytical aspect of the game is something that I enjoy understanding, and using it as a way to sharpen my skills. I am also a twin, and my brother has a mild case of Asperger's, so learning to help him when he gets frustrated has helped me become a better person and intellectual.
About Me
I am a graduate of The chicago">University of Chicago where I studied Molecular Engineering (Chemical Engineering really) and graduated with Departmental and General Honors (Dean's List all through college as well). My work focuses on how to take a technical background and apply it towards issues in the digital tech and telecoms industry.
Experience
I have been tutoring in math and science topics since i was 13. I became a private tutor for families near home to help students learn regents-level math and science. I would tutor students as a part of National Honor Society, as well as privately help students with special needs on their work. In college, I was a Teaching Assistant for Calculus I-II, helping freshman college students work on their elementary calculus as they would enter a wide array of disciplines afterwards.
Approach
For me, outside of SAT and ACT prep, it's all about providing a foundation towards the concepts so any problem they are able to solve. I work to make sure the student understands the approach and the habits to help them persevere when they may not fully understand a concept. Along with helping students understand the concept, teaching them the right study skills and habits is critical to further growth.
