Fun Facts
A fun fact about me is that I want to move to LA and work in the entertainment industry. I have a passion for TV, movies, and music, and am extremely interested in learning about how they get made. I want to go to graduate school at the University of Southern California where there is a program specifically dedicated to advancing students into careers such as this.
About Me
I am a sophomore Corporate Finance major at the University of Texas at Austin McCombs School of Business. I've achieved University Honors every semester I've been a student here. I am involved in many different areas on and off campus. On campus, I am in a fraternity, two investment clubs, and I am on the ultimate frisbee team. Off campus, I am currently marketing a financial modeling boot camp and I had a finance internship with Global Payments this past summer.
Experience
My experience tutoring goes back to freshman year of high school where I started tutoring middle schoolers in math. I started with one client but quickly grew to tutor over 5 students, each once a week. At UT I have helped many students with essay writing, Calc 1, and business classes. Hopefully working with Frog Tutoring will allow me to continue building my tutoring abilities!
Approach
My approach was largely influenced by my desire to learn how things work. Rather than attack a problem the normal way, I try to find all the different ways the solution can be reached. I focus on the journey rather than the destination. I believe learning takes place when you are struggling to figure something out as opposed to getting the easy answer. I also believe that study skills are just as important as knowing the material, and am excellent at teaching students new and better habits.
