I enjoy traveling to new and exciting places. I am a history buff who especially enjoys reading anything about WWI and WWII. I can speak conversational Spanish and Italian.

About Me

I am a former elementary and middle school teacher from Miami, FL. I am new to the Philadelphia area, and am interested in using my expertise as an educator to help students improve their grades. I graduated from the University of Florida with a degree in History.

I have six years of teaching experience in the classroom, as well as one year of philadelphia">tutoring experience. I have tutored students from ages 5 through 14 in Reading, Writing, and Mathematics. I would like to extend this to helping high school students in the field of History as that is my area of expertise.

Having worked with many diverse student populations, I understand that every child is unique and learns in different ways. My approach to turoring is to prepare lessons according to the individual student and their particular way of learning. I enjoy getting to know my students not just as a teacher but as a mentor who is able to help build their confidence as well as their understanding of academic subjects.
