Fun Facts

I have been a personal trainer, group fitness instructor and athletic trainer for about five years and an avid weight lifter and athlete for eight years. I am a big sports fan and also enjoy reading and playing video games. I am a very big Cleveland sports fan which tests my patience on a yearly basis and oftentimes breaks my heart. I am the middle child of three and my mom, brother and sister all work in fields with young children. I love spending time outdoors and staying as active as possible

About Me

I am from a small town outside of Cleveland, Ohio called Fairview Park. I am 23 years old and graduated from The Ohio State University in December of 2011. I have been very interested in teaching since I was a young kid and could not picture myself doing anything else.

My columbus">tutoring approach includes learning about the child's interests, their strengths and also their weaknesses. I like to use the things that interest them to help them better understand how to turn their weaknesses into strengths while also connecting with the student on a personal level in order to make them more willing to learn. I feel that making the child enjoy the columbus">tutoring sessions helps to ensure their attentiveness and also their connection with the material. With enthusiasm comes internalizing of subject material and internalization leads to better and more in depth understanding of the information.

While I was a younger student I was always asking questions and making sure I had a firm grasp on the subject material we were learning about. I feel that allowing a student to ask as many questions as possible shows that they are reflecting on the material at hand while also fueling their curiosity. Making a child wonder and interested in learning new things I feel is a key aspect of teaching, and through the columbus">tutoring process they have an opportunity to have their individual needs served better. With my energy, enthusiasm and passion I feel I will be able to connect with each and every student I come in contact with and help them achieve their true potential.
