I am the youngest of my family and have three big sisters. I love to dance, sing, bake, cook, an go bike riding in Central Park. I am also a big animal lover (have 2 cats and 1 dog) and I have always had a strong passion with the French language and culture, in addition to science.
About Me
I am a recent graduate from New York University, and I am currently attending Pace University as a first year graduate student. I am studying biochemistry and molecular biology. I hope to one day obtain a doctoral degree in biochemistry, and be able to work at a pharmaceutical company in research and development.
Experience
I was a member in the French National Honor Society and helped high school students improve their French grammar and vocabulary. I have also volunteered at a family shelter before where I was given the opportunity to help children with their homework. During my undergraduate years, I became a mentor twice during my sophomore and senior years. I provided insightful advice to college students regarding study skills, as well as some career advice.
Approach
As the youngest child, I had opportunity to receive tutoring from my older sisters and I was extremely grateful for that. As such, I felt the desire to help others out and provide them with clear explanations for what they do not understand. I believe it is important to allow students to think first before giving them the answers to their questions. It is from failure and lots of practice that they will learn to understand the concepts. As a tutor, I want my students to feel to eager to learn.
