Fun Facts
As long as I could remember, I have always been totally immersed in every and any activity in the art. I acted, sang, danced, loved and still do love painting and drawing. As a young girl, I seriously pursued acting. I would go to the City whenever I could for auditions. And I was always involved in plays. I even stared in a short film called Lalo.
About Me
I am a junior Communications major at Pace University at the Pleasantville Campus. I've been on the Dean's List since at Pace and I am currently a member of Lambda Phi Eta Honors Society. Besides school, the other portion of my time is devoted playing on the varsity field hockey team at Pace. When I graduate I hope to become a writer in the fashion industry.
Experience
As a big cousin to three young children, I have experience in being a teacher and role model. They look up to me, and I have found a way to motivate and teach them about being positive. I also have taught field hockey lessons to young girls. I am very eager to take the same principles I've shown them and impart that knowledge on to others. As a college student that strives to the best I can in all that I do, I have gained some study skills along the way to succeed. I'd like to share that as well!
Approach
I've never professionally tutored before, but I have been the recipient of tutoring before. I very much valued the tutor I did have because of the way he taught me and how he was never judgmental. I want to bring that same approach to the way I tutor. I want to lift kids up and show them they are smarter than they ever thought they were. I'd like to teach them that having confidence is the key to success in everything including school. I want to show them good habits they can carry on with them.

Reading Comprehension Tutoring
I have always been a huge bookworm and I still am. If your child is struggling with learning how to read I can definitely help. I am very patient and understanding as well. Reading skills don't come naturally to everyone and that is totally fine and I get that as well.
Religion Tutoring
From elementary, all the way until high school I attended a Catholic school. I took religion courses every year until my senior year of high school. I can 100% guarantee to help your child with any Religion subject or Sunday school-related needs.
Study Skills Tutoring
High school was the time in my life where all subjects didn't come as easily to me as they used to, and I had to take the time to study. Studying itself is not simple even if you try your best but don't know effective studying tips it can be tough to thrive in certain areas. I have learned ways to make studying fun and ways that get kids to comprehend the material. It worked for me and I know it can work for you! Getting in good habits are essential.
Arts Tutoring
I am creative by nature and have always enjoyed and thrived in all types of art classes. Some college courses I have taken and have experience in are Drawing, Painting, and Digital Photography. In high school, I took a Graphic Design class.
Communication Tutoring
In every Communication class I have taken in college, I have received an A. I guarantee I help whoever I tutor to get the same. Some relevant courses I have taken are News Reporting, Public Speaking, Writing for Electronic Media and Print Media, Intro to Public Relations.
Social Studies Tutoring
Social Studies was an area that I excelled in as a kid because I had interest in it. Anyone could succeed in the in the subject of Social Studies if they find something they relate to or are interested in. My goal in tutoring for social studies is to make it fun!
