My hobbies include spending time with loved ones, collecting books for my growing class library, watching my favorite TV shows, assembling large jigsaw puzzles, taking long trips to Disneyland, and drinking my favorite beverage, Starbucks coffee.
About Me
I am a dedicated educator with a positive attitude, excellent work ethic, and a silly sense of humor. I'm a proud CSUN graduate who has earned a multiple subject teaching credential with an added authorization for bilingual education (BCLAD in Spanish). I
currently teach second grade at Limerick Elementary, where I taught 2nd grade last year, and 4th grade two years ago. During my first year as a teacher I taught 5th grade at Canoga Park Elementary during the 2015-2016 school year.
Experience
I have been a tutor for over 14 years and have taught a variety of topics and grade levels as a result. I worked as a bilingual (Spanish) teacher's assistant for 4 years at an elementary school in Canoga Park and as a bilingual teacher's assistant for the Simi Valley/Moorpark First 5 Mobile Preschool for 3 years.
Approach
My goal as a tutor is to build a rapport with my students while increasing their skills and overall confidence. Every student has the ability to learn and be successful in school, all it takes is someone willing to be patient, attentive, and of course experienced in a variety of teaching methods. I truly love what I do which is why I work tirelessly to help all of my students to be the best they can be.
