Fun Facts

I've always been into the arts - acting, singing, dancing, drawing, etc and I do all of them. I sing, dance (jazz, ballet, & tap), ice-skate, snow ski, play a little piano and violin and I can even play the harmonica by ear! I'm also an artist and can draw with great detail using pencil and paper and also digital graphics as well. I also like to enhance and restore photos. I can also cut and braid hair. I absolutely love horses and cats and all animals. My favorite color is purple.

About Me

After high school, I attended college for 7 years and majored in Child Development and Art. I also attended the American National Academy of Performing Arts for 10 years.

Experience

I have years of experience working with children of all ages. I started out helping my mom in her child care business for 14 years. I’ve worked in pre-schools including YMCA and Pinecrest, plus many others. I have also worked in public schools and children’s centers including the LAUSD and Saugus Union School District, as an aide and in education/california/los-angeles">special education since 1983. I have also had my own tutoring business and I’ve worked with a boy with ADHD from age 11 to 15.

Approach

I’m excellent in English, reading, math & writing. I am extremely reliable and very detail-oriented. I am very patient with kids and adults. I love helping children learn. Whenever they don't understand something, I'm very patient and explain in a way they can understand.
