Fun Facts

I love watching sports of all kinds (especially the Olympics), but baseball is my favorite. I'm a huge Yankees fan and in my free time, you can often find me with the Yankee game on in the background and a jigsaw puzzle in front of me. I love to read and my grandmother and I are making our way through the classics. So far, we've read War and Peace and An American Tragedy. She has also read all of the books I've taught while teaching with my classes, including The Great Gatsby and All Quiet.

I have been working in childcare for the last four years and most recently very successfully completed a Humanities leave replacement position at a popular middle school. I hope to one day have my own classroom!

Experience

I have been working as a Childcare Specialist for the last five years. In that role, I have babysat, been a camp counselor, a tutor, and a teacher. After graduating from college and returning home, I immediately started working as a camp counselor where I met families that launched my career and helped me see the kind of difference I could make. After my three month leave replacement ended, the principal saw how valuable I was to the school and kept me until the end of the year.

Approach

I believe that education should be individualized so I take a different approach with all of my students. I like to start by setting some goals with the student and their families and then helping accomplish those goals in stress free sessions. I believe that
