About Me
Born and raised in the beautiful west African country Guinea (Conakry), my name is Fatoumata Camara senior at City College of Technology (NYCCT). I’m a Mechanical Engineer Technology major and participate as a Government Treasurer in our Student Government Association. I've been on the dean list for 2years.
Experience
I started my leadership training through National Society of Leadership and Success (NSLS). As a member, I acquired skills that trained me to be an efficient leader. To implement the skills gained through NSLS, I served as the Student Success Leader at Strive for Success. I mentored college freshmans with many of their academic areas. These areas included help with class registration, Blackboard, CunyFirst, Cuny Portal, Degreework, and Financial Aid amongst other topics.
Approach
when I first moved to U.S 6/7 years ago, I struggle with school because I was a non English speaker. School was soo hard that I thought of dropping out because I felt like I didn't belong. But I was fortunate to have teachers who, through positive encouragement taught me and help me realize that it was the language that was giving most hard time because I could not express myself. AutoCAD Tutoring
As a mechanical Engineer, its a requirement for me to take AutoCAD class. It was one of the classes I took at my freshman year. I have a lot of experience with it just like Inventor, MaterCAM and SolidWorks.
MATLAB Tutoring
I deal with soo much MATLAB at school. As a mechanical Engineering we have to learn how to do coding through MATLAB and most of my other class are related to it s well because must of the problems we should are done in MATLAB. In fact I'm actually take the course again this semester.
Microsoft Excel Tutoring
I am very familiar with Excel. I used it for all my Physics classes to save my data and do calculation for my lab report. As treasurer of the Student Government Association, I use Excel to do my budget calculations and save my data in it.
Microsoft PowerPoint Tutoring
I am very familiar with PowerPoint. All the presentation I've done from High school to college most of them were done in Microsoft PowerPoint.

Pre Calculus Tutoring
I took Pre Calculus in college. It was the first math course that I took. However, It was not easy because I had a grade C when I took it. But moving forward, I was supposed to take Calculus I, calculus II and Differential Equation as a requirement for my major. I passed both Calculus I and II with an A grade and B+ for differential.
