I am the middle child of three siblings. I was born in Florida and relocated to Rhode Island in 2018. I am a big Marvel Movie fan. I do not read the comic books, but I love the movies. My favorite character is Captain America.

About Me

I am a Program Coordinator for a Before and After School. I have been in the education field for approximately 17 years as a tutor, teacher, and now Program Coordinator. I have Bachelor's Degree in Business Management, and I am currently studying to earn my Early Learning Certification.

Experience

In Florida, I was a tutor for students from grade Kindergarten to Twelfth the first few years of my career. I assisted the students with English, writing, phonics, and math. Later, I began to tutor college students at Miami Dade College. College writing along with college entrance exam preparation were my areas of concentration. About five years later, I became a classroom teacher for middle school students. Since I moved to Rhode Island, I have worked as a Program Coordinator.

Approach

We each have areas where we struggle to fully understand the concepts behind the skill. As a tutor, it is my responsibility to assist students with their ability to understand those concepts. The classroom teacher can teach the skill necessary to move-on to the next level; however, I take time to teach the skills missed in the past which will make learning the new skill easier.
