First of all, I'm an artist. I doodle all the time, and have thrown pottery since I was 11 years old. I still go to a local clay studio every week to make pottery. Though I'm almost tone-deaf, I've played the saxophone since the 4th grade, and love to sing in my car. Currently, I'm learning how to speak Telugu.

I graduated with three consecutive years of writing philadelphia">tutoring experience. I was also nominated by my chemistry professor to become a general chemistry teaching assistant, and I spent one semester working with a general chemistry lab. It was upsetting to learn that often times the students that are most in need of positive support and guidance are denied it by impatient teachers. I strongly believe that everyone can excel given the right circumstances and attitude. In my philadelphia">tutoring approach, I break down concepts and explain them piece by piece, and guide students to learn how to apply the concepts that will result in correct language structure, calculations, or inferences. Teaching should be like telling a joke. You can introduce the joke, and tell the punchline, but it's the audience's job to connect the two. Likewise, a teacher can lay out the concepts, and show the problem, but it's the student's job to connect it to the answer. The joy of learning lies in that "aha!" moment, when at student makes a connection and fully understands the problem at hand. I want all of my students to enjoy lear
