Fun Facts
I was born and raised in Seoul, South Korea and for some time I lived in Gangnam of "Gangnam Style." Almost everything I own is pink, and in a perfect world, I would eat macarons for every meal. Singing, dancing, and reading are my go-to hobbies, but I also love trying new things. Last summer I learned to box!
About Me
I am a freshman at NYU attending on a merit scholarship. I am studying both Childhood/Special Education and Psychology as I hope to learn more about topics such as childhood development, social psychology, disability training, and more. I would love to become a full-time teacher as I love teaching and interacting with people, specifically children. I hope to also be able to juggle another job in psychology research as learning about people and their brains is super fascinating!
Experience
Throughout the past four years, I have been volunteering at various places such as a community center, a migrant center, and an elementary school to teach students of diverse backgrounds. I have also worked at Kumon and have tutored students personally.
Approach
The best teachers I have had were all patient, engaged, and enthusiastic in their students' learning. Words of encouragement were always apparent and I was led--not simply given--the answers to my problems which helped me learn concepts thoroughly and successfully. I strive to teach in the same manner whilst also providing my students crucial study skills that have helped myself learn.

Anatomy Physiology I Tutoring
I have successfully completed the Anatomy & Physiology course in my high school. I was always strong in science and was at the top of my class.
AP English Tutoring
I have successfully completed all Egnlish courses in high school. I took courses in AP Language and Composition and AP Literature in which I got scores of 5 and 4, respectively. I was always strong in English and was at the top of my class. I have also received a near-perfect score on the SAT Essay portion and scored in the National 97th percentile for SAT Reading/Writing portion.
Biology Tutoring
I have successfully completed the Biology course in my high school. I took both regular Biology & Ecology and AP Biology. I was always strong in science and was at the top of my class. I have also received a 760 on the SAT Biology-Molecular the first time I took it.

SAT Math Tutoring
The first time I took the SATs, I scored in National 97th percentile with a score of 720 in the Math portion of the exam.
SAT Verbal/Writing Tutoring
The first time I took the SATs, I scored in National 97th percentile with a score of 700 in the Reading/Writing portion of the exam. I also received a near-perfect score of 23 out of 24 on the essay portion of the SATs.
Science Tutoring
I have successfully completed all science courses in high school. I took courses in Biology, Ecology, Chemistry, Physiology, and Anatomy.
