Fun Facts

One fun fact about me is that I love to travel. I went to study abroad in Peru for a month over the Summer of 2017. It was a remarkable experience. I would definitely study abroad again in my college years.

About Me

I am a freshman in the department of Teaching and Learning at New York University. I am working towards the path of education/new-york/new-york">Special Education for Early Childhood and Early Childhood Education. It's a dual certificate program. With NYU, I will have the opportunity to do student teaching in Junior and Senior year. I have also been taking the field observation course, where I visit different schools to observe.

Experience

I tutored my peers in Geometry, Chinese, and Chemistry when I was in high school. I was also a teacher assistant for three years in a Chinese class with high school non-native Chinese speakers. I also interned with University Settlement through the excel program as a teacher assistant where I assisted kids from the ages of three to eight in participation in music and movement class.

Approach

I think the type of educator students have can make a big difference because it will affect how much they can absorb the knowledge and learn. I will be a responsible and patient tutor to assist the students step by step according to their paces. I am a flexible tutor and I am open to students' opinions because the bond between tutors and students is important.
