Fun Facts
As much as I love the sciences, I also enjoy music and playing the piano. In fact I loved it so much it made me into a concert pianist and a composer as well!
About Me
I am currently pursuing a masters degree in data science at New York University. Prior to that, I also held my BA in Sociology at NYU and a minor in science/new-jersey/new-jersey">computer science and music composition. Up until college, I was trained as a classical pianist at the Manhattan School of Music. My goal upon completion of my masters is to use my data science knowledge to create an algorithm for music taxonomy that will one day replace spotify.
Experience
Prior to pursuing my masters in data science, I have worked as a research analyst at Center for an Urban Future, which is a non-partisan think-tank for policy-making in NYC. Prior to that I was a research assistant for an up-coming book written by my professor at New York University that explored the curious case of how a crime rate for a given city goes down in relation to number of spectator attendance at a major sports game.
Approach
As I child, I worked better in a one-on-one setting than in a class-room setting, so it is safe to say I learned more at home than at school. I had many great tutors growing up who not only taught me SSAT and SAT, but also work ethic and discipline that set my method for life. I believe that practicing your weakness is what makes you stronger and mental exercise for any subject requires daily "workout" just like for any physically exercise.
