Fun Facts

I love being in the outdoors and being active! I played varsity softball at Brown University for two years as an outfielder, and grew up playing soccer, volleyball and running track as well. I enjoy hiking, wakeboarding, and backpacking. I served a mission in Zimbabwe for a year and a half. I am the youngest of three children and am the only girl in my family. I also enjoy playing the piano occasionally and although it has been awhile since I have found some time, I love oil painting.

About Me

I started out my schooling at Brown University and am now currently a junior studying Physiological and Developmental Biology at BYU. I am currently pre-med and hope to finish up school within the next couple of years and attend medical school.

Experience

While a student at BYU, I was able to be a part of a program called BEAM where we tutored students in low-income areas in a variety of subjects. It was a joy to help them develop a love for learning when they were able to finally grasp difficult concepts.

Approach

I know that learning can be difficult. However, I also know that as long as someone works hard enough and is taught in a certain way that works with them, they can excel and flourish. Personally, I know what it's like to struggle and would consider myself a slow learner. With determination and persistence, I have been able to get to where I am today. Understanding study skills that work for each specific individual is key to succeeding and accomplishing dreams.
