Fun Facts
I am all about living life to the fullest! Some of my favorite experiences include attending Space Camp, touring London, living in Montenegro, qualifying for and competing in a national speech tournament, and playing the oboe in Carnegie Hall. I am thrilled by the possibility of what comes next!
About Me
Originally from Cleveland, I am a college graduate now living in Los Angeles. My positivity and sense of humor characterize my teaching style and general outlook on life! In addition to tutoring, I also perform improv/sketch, write, and listen to A LOT of Enya. Borderline too much.
Experience
I graduated from Miami University of Ohio with a degree in English/Creative Writing and minor in Math/Secondary Education in 2016. While in college, I completed student teaching assignments at the high school and middle schools levels, with subjects including Algebra I, Algebra II, Geometry, and Calculus. I also spent a lot of time peer tutoring in high school for Math, English, Latin, and even AP Music Theory.
Approach
I used to hate math and think I was hopelessly bad at it. It wasn't until I had the right teachers for it that concepts started clicking, and I realized not only that I could be good at math, but that I could genuinely have fun doing it. Now, I want to give that light-bulb moment to students of my own. As a tutor and person, I am as encouraging and light-hearted as I am dedicated and disciplined. I am thrilled to meet students where they are and see them succeed in any class!
