About Me
I have a degree in Chemistry from Hunter College in New York. Post graduation, my initial goal was to become a doctor, but it changed once I started teaching lab sections at Hunter. I found my truest passion in Chemistry and in teaching. Currently, I am in my third year of Chemistry PhD programs in Organic Chemistry. I am looking forward to the day I can fulfill my passion and teach on college level.
Right after my graduation in 2011, I have been enrolled in the queens">tutoring center of Hunter College to assist with General and Organic Chemistries. My main responsibilities include assisting with homework assignments and test preparation. I am also teaching Organic Chemistry lab sections at Hunter College where I overlook students as they embark on the journey of learning practical sides of Chemistry. Lastly, since 2009, I have been private queens">tutoring Chemistry and Math in both college and my neighboring High School
When I took Organic Chemistry class, I was terrified. After first exam I ran into Barnes and Noble to pick up any Chemistry related study guide to help me survive. I soon realized, however, that the practice and deep understanding is what I needed to succeed in the class. Through numerous group discussions and tons of practice problems, I managed to elevate my understanding of the subject greatly. Because of my initial struggle, I can relate to students very well. I deliver information in the organized fashion, making sure that every one of them is on the same page. I apply discussions into my queens">tutoring, as it helps me see which areas students need more help with. Based on that, I generate numerous practice problems so that they can target their weak links.
