About Me
I graduated from boston-university">Boston University in 2014 with a Bachelors Degree in History of Art and Architecture. I was a City Year Boston AmeriCorps member for the 2014-15 school year. I served at the Sarah Greenwood K-8 in Dorchester and lead groups and individual students in ELA boston">tutoring and behavior coaching. I also served as Attendance Coordinator for the whole school.
I enjoy working with children and young adults to help them gain academic and life skills and guide them to experience positive growth in diverse areas.
I like to go over what the student is struggling with and pinpoint what exactly what their issue is in order to fix the problem and ensure that they can solve in on their own in the future. I think positive thinking is very important for both boston">tutor and student and I like to reward students with praise when they complete a task that before seemed impossible. I like to encourage the mind-set that they can do it and it is possible with some hard work and a little help!
