Fun Facts
One of the first things people learn about me is, I am a Macedonian American dual citizen and am fluent in both countries’ languages. I also love Premier League football (Manchester United fan) and tennis (my favorite player is Novak Djokovic). My favorite TV show is Game of Thrones, and I love any video game with a heavy choice laden plot.
About Me
I am a junior studying Neuroscience at the University of Michigan- Ann Arbor. I am on the pre-med track with the hope of going to the University of Michigan’s medical school. I also hope to earn a master’s in education in the future. My ultimate goal is to become either an oncologist or some specialty of surgeon.
Experience
I have been fortunate enough to have many tutoring experiences. When I was in high school as a member of the National Honor Society, I tutored students at my school’s weekly tutoring period and assisted various students outside of this time as well. When I got to college, I began tutoring students from grades 1-12 at my local library’s tutoring program. At my university, I also continued to tutor various students in different subjects.
Approach
My approach to tutoring is centered on how well a student understands the material. Many concepts build off each other, and one missed concept can impede understanding further down the line. Firsthand I have experienced this problem, where the only solution is finding a teacher or tutor who breaks down the concept step by step in order to facilitate understanding. I try to apply this idea to each person I tutor.
