Fun Facts
My favorite pass time in college has been comedy. I joined the campus improv troupe my first year, and have loved it ever since. We do shows every month and practice every week. Also, when I find the time, I enjoy running.
About Me
I am a senior double major in Mathematics and Economics. I've been on the deans list every semester since I started at Rhodes. Upon graduation I hope to work as an actuary for a couple of years before returning to school to get my PhD. Eventually I aim to become a Professor in Economics or Mathematics.
Experience
I have been tutoring for two years now. I started as a Calculus I and II tutor for my school, but then picked up random other tutoring jobs as the presented themselves. This includes tutoring in Macroeconomics, math/tennessee/memphis">ACT math, and GRE math. I hope to pick up more of a tutoring load with Frog Tutoring.
Approach
Ever since high school I enjoyed teaching people. I would try to hold study sessions with friends and help them where I could. Since then I have aimed to become a teacher. Tutoring at Rhodes has been a great experience, as I've gotten the opportunity to help my peers. Especially with math, I enjoy going a little deeper into the content to hopefully inspire learning. I do not just give students answers, but push them in the right direction so they arrive at the conclusion on their own.
