Fun Facts
I have a passion for sports! I have played volleyball for Fresno State for the past 4.5 years, but I have recently retired and became a coach for a local volleyball club. Another passion of mine is photography! I love taking pictures of the beautiful nature around us. This summer I will be the first person to graduate college from my family. I hope to travel the world in the future.
About Me
I am a fifth-year senior at Fresno State. I am a Criminology-Forensic Behavioral Sciences major and a Psychology major. I have received several academic awards through the school and through our athletic conferences, including the Dean's List, President's List, All-WAC Academic, MW Scholar-Athlete, and COSIDA All-District. I hope to attend graduate school in school psychology following Fresno State.
I do not have any experience fresno">tutoring, but it has always been something that I have been interested in pursuing. I enjoy helping people in any way that I can, and I believe working for Frog fresno">Tutoring would give me the opportunity to do that. I am currently volunteering in the elementary school classrooms for my church, where I teach the weekly lesson plan and help the children with their classroom activities. I also peer mentor a student through the Wayfinders program at Fresno State. I feel I have learned a lot through these experiences that can transfer into a fresno">tutoring position.
I am a very positive person and celebrate the little victories in life. I understand that learning can be difficult and very discouraging at times, but you can always find a way. As I have learned in various leadership roles throughout my athletic career, people are very different from one another, and what may help encourage one individual may not help another. So, I am open to finding different ways to help each individual succeed. I encourage asking questions, whether it be about the topic of study, or study skills in general. I am always willing to help.
