Fun Facts

Besides my deep love for manatees and the color yellow, I have found a passion for travel and athletics. I have a deep interest in other cultures and have traveled to many countries including Belize, France, Italy, and Greece. My athletic interests stem from my four years as a field hockey athlete and my 9 years of dancing. I also enjoy baking, photography, and making people laugh!

About Me

I am a second year Communications major and Global Studies minor at UCLA with a GPA of 3.625 within my major. After I graduate, I hope to get involved with global non-profits and assist with their international communications. In high school, I was ranked fourth in my graduating class, was the team captain of the varsity field hockey team, was awarded best senior dancer in our dance program, participated in both CSF and NHS, and acted as a freshman mentor.

In high school, spent a year tutoring a middle school student in Geometry and Algebra II and I was responsible for assisting in the area of homework problems, test preparation, and study methods. I loved being in being able to see my student improve in their class standing and graded assignments. This experience equipped me with the ability to communicate ideas, explain concepts in a variety of ways, and work hard in order to see results. This was a private practice and I enjoyed getting to know my student and watching them progress in the comfortable environment I had created. Now Frog Tutoring is giving me the chance to touch many more lives!

Looking back on my past learning environment prior to college, I can say that one of the most beneficial things to my education was the constant encouragement and thoughtfulness of my teachers. I found that I was able to excel and feel confident when my teachers showed faith in my abilities and cared about me as a person outside the classroom as well. As a tutor, I hope to make this one of my main priorities for all of my sessions individually and truly value the time spent with each unique student. I am aware that everyone learns differently and I will make a deep effort to ensure that on top of study skills and content mastering, each student receives the encouragement and confidence that they need to succeed.
