About Me

Hi, my name is Luke Skoza. And, I'm a poet who works a few jobs, including this one, in order to support myself. I enjoy art, spending time with my friends and family, and reading.

I tutored for over two years at SIUC's writing center, which I enjoyed greatly. My tutees ranged from freshman college students to graduate students. Also, throughout my time at SIUC's writing center, nearly all of my tutees gave me positive reviews.

My approach centers around my tutees. I have a certain set of methods that I attempt to make all of tutees follow, such as pre-writing, outlining, and editing. However, if a tutee requires me to be more directive in a session, I will tend to take more control of session. On the other hand, if a tutee requires me to be more collaborative, I will attempt to control a session less. In other words, I attempt to work with my tutees as much as possible in order to allow them to obtain their goals.
