I love to do a lot of physical activity and rarely ever watch TV. I like to bike, run, golf, kayak, hike, box, kickboxing, and lift weights. I will be starting golf lessons and jiu jitsu soon. I am also very politically active.
About Me
I am currently a project manager with the Hektoen Institute working on a clinical trial for a new HIV drug. I have a Master's degree in Public Policy from the washington-university">George washington-university">Washington University and a Bachelor's
in Economics from University of Michigan. I have been working in Public Health in America and Africa for over 10 years. I have experience with the Food and Drug Administration, Peace Corps, and the Clinton Foundation.
While at the FDA in DC, I had the opportunity to chicago">tutor and mentor children at a wildly successful organization called Horton's Kids. We tutored and mentored children from low income families who had fallen behind and got them into great charter schools and college. It was incredibly rewarding and I am excited to feel that fulfillment again.
As a child, I was lucky to have some incredible teachers, especially in math and science. Despite any preconceived notions I had about my abilities in those subjects, they convinced me that I could excel. As a chicago">tutor, I attempt to bring this belief to all of my sessions. I am always positive, patient, and persistent. I also focus on time manage and study skills.
