I love to be active and spend time outdoors. Some of my favorite things to do are hike, run, and enjoy the beach. I'm the oldest of three and love spending time with my family. I am originally from San Diego, California and hope to one day move back to the coast.

About Me

I am a Senior Biology major and Child Development minor at Texas Christian University. After graduation I hope to pursue a masters in Physician Assistant Studies. My goal is to become a Primary Care Physician Assistant. I'm a member of the TCU John V. Roach Honors College, Honors Pre-health Society, and Kappa Alpha Theta.

As a volunteer with the nonprofit organization Amigos de las Americas I spent my junior summer teaching summer school to a class of 40 students in Oaxaca Mexico. I have a passion for learning and love to help others find methods that work best for them. Its very rewarding to help others succeed in subject areas or topics they originally struggled with.

As a tutor I think its important to help the student gain confidence in their abilities by teaching good study skills and helping them find methods that work best for them individually. In order for a student to fully grasp the material it is imperative that the student is the one working through the problems, not simply watching someone else do it. I enjoy coming up with creative and new ways to explain problems that students are having a hard time with.
