If there’s one thing somebody needs to know about me, it is that I am absolutely obsessed with the TV show "Friends". I have seen every episode multiple times, and can tell you the name of the episode just based on the plot line. Challenge me. I dare you. ☺In addition, I have a secret dream to one day become the next Beyoncé (although my singing skills are very subpar). A girl can dream!

About Me

I am a sophomore Early Childhood Education major at Texas Christian University. I am also a new member of the education honor society: Kappa Delta Pi. I plan to graduate and get my masters before I start work as an elementary school teacher.

As a member of my high school’s National Honor Society, I was fortunate enough to tutor my peers weekly in various subjects. This inspired me to broaden my tutoring so I put an ad in the local paper. After that, I gained some clients in my hometown. I helped bring one of my clients from a C one semester to an A the next semester. In addition, I helped prepare various study guides and tips and tricks to remember on tests and quizzes. I always made sure my students felt comfortable enough to ask questions.

Throughout my whole grade school experience, I was tutored. It sometimes took me a while to understand some basic concepts, but with a little help and positive encouragement from my tutors I was able to overcome my challenges. As a tutor, I will attempt to bring a positive environment that my students can learn and grow in. By teaching organizational skills, my students will be able to take these skills and apply them to their schoolwork. I feel like it’s my responsibility to create a place where I can guide them to the right answers by teaching smart and simple ways to achieve the answers.
