Fun Facts
I'm am expert at Uno and I love reciting Shakespeare lines while on the basketball court. I enjoy singing and writing, drawing and walking. My dream job has always been to teach, but if that doesn't work out, I think being a secret agent with the government or an astronaut might work out nicely.
About Me
I am a graduate student in Literature at houston">the houston">University of Houston and I teach college English at Lone Star College (part time). A few years back, I graduated from one of the only male colleges in the country, Morehouse College, and then spent a year houston">tutoring and teaching at a high school in Boston. I have a BA, magna cum laude and will soon have an MA, summa cum laude. I hope to become a professor and a pro novelist in the near future.
I tutored all throughout high school and college. More recently, however, I spent a year as a full-time houston">tutor and TA at a top performing high school in Boston. There, I worked with students in 9th-11th grade and in all subjects - from Algebra to PreCal, Physics to AP Chem, and all aspects of history. My primary focus was English and Speech & Composition. I've continued to houston">tutor and teach English as well as reading comp and writing skills since moving to Houston.
There are three qualities that I'm all about. These are punctuality, adaptability, and patience because without these, effective houston">tutoring is impossible. I commit to being punctual and I expect the same from students. I am adaptable knowing that we all learn in different ways. Finally, I believe that patience is a key to success.
