I enjoy arts and crafts very much. knitting, scrap booking, and bedazzling are among my top favorite. I am really good at making beanies and scarfs. My goal is to one day knit a vest with a cat and a dog on it.

About Me

I graduated College with an American Studies B.A from California State University Long Beach. I plan on applying to Medical School, specializing on Child Delivery in 2020. Currently I Tutor, teach Swimming, and Water Fitness. I am TESL/TEOFL Certified, CPR and First Aid Certified, and Lifeguard Certified. Some leadership roles I have had in the past range from project manager to creating and developing a projects and concepts.

Experience

Diverse, is one word that describes my experience as a tutor. I began tutoring after graduating HS in 2003, and going strong. I have experience tutoring all age groups, from Grade School to College, to Continuing Education. After HS I began tutoring at Golden West Community College in Huntington Beach, California. I finished my B.A at CSULB, where I continued tutoring both for the University and privately. In 2010, I starter volunteer tutoring for the Literacy Program in California.

Approach

Knowledge is empowerment. As a student, I struggled with the pressure and stress of meeting academic expectations and deadlines, Classroom Anxiety, and presentation Anxiety among a few. After years of Study Skills help and tutoring, I found that I was able to study, learn and retain more, with less stress, outside of the traditional Classroom setting and the Concept of Standardized education and testing. My approach to tutoring is Holistic, Individualistic, constructive and interactive.
