Fun Facts
One passion that I have is swimming. I love to stay fit and go for a swim! I'm from Albuquerque NM and I'm really excited to be in Austin! I also did theater for 11 years so so guess you can say I love a good laugh and I'm energetic.
About Me
I am a first year student at St. Edwards University. I am now studying education as my major! I hope to become a teacher after I graduate, because I think it's my calling!
Experience
I took a gap year in between my last year of high school and first year of college. During that time I worked in a 1st grade classroom essentially as a TA. I also had the opportunity to work over last summer with Americorps at an elementary/ middle school. I even got to teach my own wellness class!
Approach
I remember in school that I had a hard time with some of my teachers styles, but once I got an amazing teacher with great teaching skills I knew how I wanted to learn and how I want to teach!I think that all kids need the opportunity to learn in flourish in a creative and accepting space. Students need someone to believe in their potential no matter strengths or weaknesses! I think it is my responsibility to give students the best help they can get so that they feel confident in learning.

English Tutoring
I am currently taking an education processes class that teaches how kids learn and what kids need, structure. I have experience with english tutoring because of my opportunity to teach at the elementary and middle school level. Students at this grade level need consistency and structure as well as the idea that they can form their own opinions for the things they're learning.
History Tutoring
My major is Education and I'm minoring in History. I am currently taking an education processes class that teaches how kids learn and what kids need, structure. I am also taking a U.S history class, as well as the many history classes . that I've taken. Students of this age group need to think critically about the things they are learning as well as have the consistency and structure that this subject needs in order to be successful.
Reading Comprehension Tutoring
I am currently taking an education processes class that teaches how kids learn and what kids need, structure. I have a lot of experience in helping students with reading groups and tutoring. I understand that reading can be hard for some students, or maybe they just want to get better. I am ready to help and give your child support in this area.
Writing Tutoring

For writing I have spent time with students helping with essays, grammar, sentence structure, and spelling. These are all things that are essential to becoming a good writer. I want to help students organize thoughts as well because that is a major part of learning to write, and helping students create a good understanding of writing.
Homework Coach Tutoring
I am currently taking an education processes class that teaches how kids learn and what kids need, structure. I have worked at two elementary schools helping with homework and tutoring. I believe that homework is one of the best ways to learn by practicing learned skills in class.
