I am a leftie! Woot woot. I love to play basketball. Actually, anything involving fitness is definitely a passion of mine. Puppies are my kryptonite! I hate writing in black or blue pens. Yes, I am that person that writes in pink, green, blue, and even rainbow ink on occasion. I put a high value on honesty and a sense of humor!

About Me

I attend washington/seattle">seattle-university">washington/seattle">Seattle University and am currently majoring in Criminal Justice. I am a junior with a 3.8 GPA. After college, I hope to become a defense attorney. In addition, I want to obtain my certification for personal training and help people reach their fitness/life goals as well. In high school, I was captain of my basketball team for 3 years earning most spirited and most inspirational all three years. Needless to say, I am a very enthusiastic individual with high expectations of people.

To be quite honest, I have never tutored someone in an organized/official fashion. However, in high school, I would help my teammates who were struggling in their classes. My best approach is to relate the homework or subject matter to something that the student encounters everyday. To this day, I still have college friends call me and ask me if I can come over and help their younger siblings with their math homework because they just are not quite understanding the concepts.

As I stated above, my washington/washington/seattle">seattle">tutoring approach is one where I can take the material and try to relate it best to the student. In addition, I am a very visual learner and am easily bored with text book style and lecture learning. That being said, I try to make learning the material fun and exciting and as visual as possible. I take on the approach that I not only want the student to know the material for the class or for the test, I want them to fully understand the concepts so that they can at least understand when the concept is brought up again a few years down the road.
