Fun Facts
I love to travel, and I have been lucky enough in life to have had many opportunities to travel the world. So far, Germany has been my favorite place that I have traveled to. The people there are friendly, the countryside is beyond beautiful, and there are more museums, castles, and historical places to visit than one could do in a lifetime. Additionally, I love to read! About Me
I am a graduate from San Jose State University with a Bachelor's degree in Child and Adolescent Development. I am currently completing a credential program to become an elementary school teacher through fresno-state-university">Fresno State University. I've always wanted to be a teacher, and fresno">tutoring is an extension of the need to help students develop a love of learning and to succeed academically. I truly do believe in the education system and the doors that can be opened to students when they try their best in school. I firmly believe that if one is willing to try, they cannot possibly fail. Failure is only achieved if one does not try.
I have been fresno">tutoring since I was in high school, helping friends get through classes that we shared. However, since college, I have been fresno">tutoring students of all ages and grades. Most recently, I have been student teaching in a sixth grade classroom, and I individually fresno">tutor struggling students on a daily basis. When it comes to fresno">tutoring, one of the most important aspects to helping a student is to figure out how they learn. Every student learns in different ways, so it is an essential component in the planning process of fresno">tutoring. To truly gain an understanding of a concept, a student needs to know the step-by-step process, but also understand "the why" of each of those steps. Furthermore, I believe in every student that I've ever worked with and in every student that I will work with in the future. I believe in their success, even if they do not. It is my goal as a teacher/fresno">tutor to encourage them to always try their best, to learn to believe in themselves, and to provide them with the strategies to be academica
