Fun Facts
One fun fact about me is that I love to play sports and try new things! I play soccer, basketball, lacrosse, and run half marathons. I have been skydiving and rock climbing too. One day, I hope to explore Europe with friends and family.
About Me
I am a sophomore Psychology and Health and Exercise Science major at forest-university">Wake Forest University with a minor in Spanish. I have been on the Dean's list for one year now. When I graduate I hope to attend graduate school and ultimately become a clinical psychologist.
Experience
As a member of the National Junior Honor Society I had the chance to tutor high school students in all subject areas on a weekly basis. The past few summers I have worked with students ranging from elementary school to high school tutoring them in Spanish, Writing, Reading Comprehension, Math, and Keyboarding.
Approach
I have always really enjoyed making school fun by intertwining it with things I love. In tutoring I like to make up creative memory tools and analogies that relate the things that I am learning to sports, music, and the world around me. I also like to put topics in a practical and cultural context to better understand them.

Italian Tutoring
I have taken Advanced Intermediate Italian at Wake Forest University. I have also travelled to Rome and Naples where I learned how to speak Italian through first hand experience.
Spanish I Tutoring
I have taken Spanish Culture and Context, Hispanic Linguistics, and Grammar and Composition at the College level. I earned high marks in each of these courses.

I have taken AP English Literature and AP English Language and I earned a 4 on the exam receiving college credit.

I have spent the past summer as a homework coach for high school students whose grades all improved afterward.

I took Psychology in high school and I am a Psychology major in college. I have taken Developmental Psychology, Positive Psychology, and Introduction to Psychology.
Reading Comprehension Tutoring
I worked with high school students over the summer on reading comprehension and I have taken AP Literature.

I have worked with students over the past summers to refine study skills tailoring them particularly for different classes.
Algebra Tutoring
I scored a 100 on my New York State Algebra Regents and have tutored in this subject in the past.
Pre Algebra Tutoring
I earned a 100 on my New York State Algebra Regents and have tutored Pre-Algebra in the past.
Spanish Tutoring
I have tutored middle school Spanish for the student to pass a proficiency exam after the student had failed the first time. He passed and received credit for the class after a summer of tutoring.
Writing Tutoring
I have tutored in middle school writing and reading comprehension. I took AP Writing courses in high school and scored highly on them.
Math Tutoring
I have tutored K-6 Math and the students showed progress from before tutoring to after.
Elementary Math Tutoring
I have tutored K-6 Math and the students showed progress from before tutoring to after.
Conversational Spanish Tutoring
I have taken Hispanic Linguistics, Spanish Culture and Context, and Grammar and Composition. In these classes and in real life I have worked on conversational skills.
