Fun Facts
I have actually worked as a personal trainer for the past eight years, throughout both undergrad and medical school. I love health and fitness and helping others achieve their goals. This has also motivated me to stay active despite a heavy course load.
About Me
I initially enrolled in Butler University's six-year dual degree Pharm.D./MBA program. As a senior, I made the difficult decision to instead follow my passion for medicine and switched my major to Chemistry and applied to medical school. I am currently a fourth-year medical student with plans to pursue residency training in general surgery. I also plan to complete a fellowship in surgical critical care. I am in the top quintile of my medical school class.
Experience
I excelled in a wide variety of courses in business, pharmacy and medical school. I have tutored high school, college and medical students with great success. I have over three years of direct tutoring experience, working two times per week with medical and college students. My students saw an increase in course grades and accomplished goals such as passing difficult standardized medical examinations. I provide a warm learning environment where I push the student to succeed while having fun!
Approach
I believe learning is an active process and that anybody can become a genius at a topic of their choice. Intelligence is born of hard work and consistency, not a genetic trait. To achieve success, I first focus on strong study habits to form a foundation, and then challenge my students in a fun and warm environment. I look forward to working with you!
