Fun Facts

I was born in Maternity Hospital in Cambridge, England. Douglas Adamas, author of "Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy was born there, too. It stated out as a poor house, just like in "Oliver Twist."

About Me

I am a PhD student in Sociology at Georgia State University. I have a BS (Columbus State University) and MS (Auburn University) in Sociology. I am a veteran of the US Army. I am married with two children and three grandchildren.

Experience

I have been a Graduate Teaching Assistant at Auburn. I taught a sociology class there for two semesters. At GSU, I taught a freshman orientation course in Spring 2018, and am currently a Graduate Research Assistant for a project one of the sociology professors is working on.

Approach

I believe in using a multiple approach to teaching. As well as text reading and lectures, I like to use discussion groups and “observation lab work” via observing in “real life” theory and behavior discussed in class.
