Fun Facts

At one point in my life, I wanted to be one of the people behind the scenes of the NFL who come up with all the mind-boggling statistics that the announcers put out there. It combined two of my favorite things: math and the NFL. Football is my favorite sport; I played six seasons of it, starting at age 8. And generally, I am a people person because you will see at my place of work where I try to strike up a conversation or connect with my coworkers or customers on some level to make my job fun.

About Me

I am a future Mathematics major at University of Texas at Arlington, as a part of the UTeach program. When I graduate, I look to jump right into the field of teaching at a high school level and be the kind of teacher that all the students look up to and want to have.

Experience

I would like to say that I have a lot of experience when it comes to teaching. I do have an adequate amount of experience as I have happily and willingly helped my sister with her math and assisted my teacher in tutoring my classmates and even sometimes, teaching the class on some efficient methods to get their work done. I know for certain that by the end of this semester, I will have a good jumpstart in teaching experience with my UTeach-sponsored class.

Approach

The attributes that I have commonly been praised for ever since my first year in elementary school have been my integrity and perseverance as I pursue my goals, whether long-term or short-term. Luckily, my father can be credited to raising me this way. I strive to be like my father when it comes to facing obstacles. He never looked back, kept his head held high, and kept his cool. These highly-respected characteristics are some that I hope to pass on to my potential students.
