About Me
I am a 2007 graduate of Bucknell University. I double majored in Spanish and Latin American Studies.
I have been a maryland/maryland/baltimore">baltimore">tutor and a mentor for the past eight years and find a passion in teaching and helping others understand complex concepts by breaking it down to a level that is comfortable and easy for them to understand.
In high school I was a Spanish and Study Skills maryland/maryland/baltimore">baltimore">tutor. I was a Spanish maryland/maryland/baltimore">baltimore">tutor in college, and after college, I continued maryland/maryland/baltimore">baltimore">tutoring family and friends in Spanish.
To me, being a maryland/maryland/baltimore">baltimore">tutor and mentor is my opportunity to share what was shared with me. My philisophy is that: "Knowledge is the gift that keeps on giving."
I have had the pleasure of having some of the best teachers, mentors, maryland/maryland/baltimore">baltimore">tutors, and coaches who took the time to evaluate my learning style, to adapt their teaching style to fit how I learned, and to make it their priority to reinforce key concepts to ensure that I not only learned the concepts, but understood them. Their knowledge was a gift and I find that my obligation is to share what was given to me. This is why I have such a passion for maryland/maryland/baltimore">baltimore">tutoring and mentoring.
My style is VERY unique. No one person is the same which means that no one person has the same learning techniques. I like to first get the know the individual then once we are familiar with eachother, I can form an intensive study session. I believe in extreme repetition. We learn and retain things by seeing, reading and writing. By the end of each session, my goal is to increase the student's level of confidence about the subject matter so much that he or she will not onlhy learn the material, but have fun with it!
