About Me
Hi all! My name is Sameera and I recently graduated (May 2013) from Emory University with a double major in Chemistry and Biology. I am a premedical student and will be matriculating in medical school this Fall. I'm interested in international medicine and have done field work in Central America, West Africa, and previously interned at The Carter Center in their Health Programs Development program. To relax, I enjoy running, reading, yoga, and a great cup of tea!
During my time at Emory University, I worked as a Peer Chemistry atlanta">Tutor for Emory Learning Programs for 3.5 years and tutored introductory Chemistry as an ATP-Certified atlanta">Tutor. I have also privately tutored and mentored several students in Chemistry in all levels (middle school, high school, college). I love working with kids of all age groups and am patient, dependable, and very outgoing! I help students understand concepts rather than root memorization and help them gain confidence and become independent by allowing them to have ownership during the learning process.
