I spend a lot of time watching TV - I'm rather serious about it. If you ever find yourself talking to me a TV show (I'm more than likely to have watched it), be prepared from a surprisingly in-depth analysis about both major and minor characters, plot arcs, narratives, and cinematography. I apologize in advance!
About Me
I'm a sophomore Political Science major at wayne-state-university">Wayne State University, where I'm also on the Dean's List. I plan on attending law school after I finished my undergraduate degree. I'm in the process of creating a community-service oriented organization on campus with friends.
I've been a reading-comprehension/michigan/detroit">reading comprehension and writing detroit">tutor on an off for about two and a half years now. During my Senior year of high school, I volunteered after school detroit">tutoring freshman and middle school students. When I got to college, I immediately wanted to continue, and applied to be a writing and reading-comprehension/michigan/detroit">reading comprehension detroit">tutor with APEX Scholars on Wayne State's campus. There, I had the pleasure of detroit">tutoring incoming freshman to prepare them for college level writing classes!
Throughout my schooling, I've always preferred a respectful degree of autonomy to being micromanaged or underestimated. I like to extend this same approach to those I detroit">tutor; I prefer to establish where a student needs assistance, and in what capacity I could best help them from the beginning, so that I can help them where they need it, and not waste their or underestimate their abilities by micromanaging.
