I love the outdoors. I love to go canoeing, kayaking, camping, hiking, and rock climbing. I love music and concerts. My next concert is Ellie Goulding and I am super excited to see her. I really enjoy being around people and learning new things, learning new ways of thinking and different perspectives. I love to be involved with the goal in mind to improve and make a positive difference.

I plan to earn my Masters in Psychology then earn my doctorate. I plan to become a Psychologist so I may practice. Eventually I would love to open up a healing and rehabilitation facility that works with children, teens, and young adults. I am a member of Phi Theta Kappa honor society, a member of the National Honor Society of Leaderships and Success, and various school organizations.

I worked as a work-study houston">tutor at Galveston College Student Success Center for about 1-2 months. It isn't a lot of experience or time, however I really enjoyed helping others to understand their assignments. Most of the houston">tutoring I helped with during this time was College Algebra, English, and Biology. However I am confident in, if not all, then most of what I have chosen above to houston">tutor in. I'm not sure what other information I can give you that would help my case.

The approach is to understand what the student needs help with. First is to understand what the teacher is looking for, I would ask what the professor's or teachers guidelines are. Second, I would ask the student what they understand, or don't understand. My approach is to be as simple as possible and then straight to the point. I try to make the connections as best I can based off of each students personality, learning skills and individual perception.
