Fun Facts
I'm a very open and fun-loving guy. My interests span from video games and computers to arts and crafts. I prefer to keep a relaxed and casual atmosphere around myself but I can be serious when I need to be.
About Me
I am still in the graduation process at the University of California in San Diego. I am still waiting for the school to process my diploma but I have completed all the required courses. Right now I have looking towards getting job experience because I have always been too school-focused to get a job. My ideal career goal would combine my interest in the arts and technology.
I have had prior tutoring experience in high school where I was in program where a group of fellow students and I would go to the nearby elementary school and help out in their classrooms for school credit. We were assigned to classrooms in pairs and with my friend Thomas, assisted the teachers for the same classroom of kids for 3-4 months. The material was easy to teach them and they had trouble remembering how to pronounce my name but it was a worthwhile experience that I believe will help me in becoming a FrogTutor.
As a student that came from a family that barely spoke any English, my early school years were difficult. I could not communicate with the kids in the classroom and at home, my parents were unable to help me. I got into a lot of trouble as a kid but I remember the teachers taking their time with me and helping me step by step. I hope to recreate this experience for other students as a FrogTutor. I know how difficult it is to learn something new, especially when feeling isolated from everyone else, but I want to be the gentle helping hand that some students need.
